Background:
Shooter's Grove Primary School was formed in September 1992 following the amalgamation of Shooter's Grove Nursery and Shooter's Grove Primary Schools. The school is an co-educational county primary school for children aged three to 11 years old. It is situated in two buildings, the junior building which contains eight class bases and the infant building which houses six class bases and 39-place nursery. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include tennis, football, rounders, athletics, cross-country, hockey, rugby and swimming. Educational visits to places of interest, and a residential visit for Year 6 all serve to provide children with a wide variety of leisure activities in which to become involved. The school aims to create a friendly, happy, purposeful and orderly environment in which children can develop their capabilities to the full.
