Background:
Prince Edward Primary School is a county school for children aged three to 11 years. It is situated close to the centre of Sheffield in a regeneration area. The school has a nursery. The school offers a wide variety of arts activities. Pupils have regular music lessons with a specialist music teacher. Children also have the opportunity for keyboard lessons. The choir members have performed in the Crucible studio. Pupils enjoy residential visits to Whirlow Hall Farm and Thornbridge Hall, in addition to the many visits to educational establishments, which take place during the school day. The school maintains close links with families and the local community. The school aims to provide a challenging but supportive and encouraging atmosphere where children can achieve the best of which they are capable.
