Background:
Formed by the amalgamation of a middle school and a first school in 1992, Greystones Primary is housed in two Victorian buildings and three smaller prefabricated buildings. The after-school club, music room, special educational needs (SEN) room, library and computer suite are all located in the three smaller buildings. Within the school, there is a unit for the hearing impaired which currently serves 18 pupils. These children are integrated into mainstream lessons, where they receive the 'necessary support'. The school's ethos is based upon all children achieving their 'full potential educationally and socially'. Extra-curricular activities include sport, music and computers.
