Background:
The school is located in the Millhouses area of Sheffield. The building is 30 years old and as the school has expanded its open plan classrooms have been augmented by temporary spaces. There are three forms in each year-group, but despite this accommodation the school is still over-subscribed. The site itself contains a playing field, stream and wildlife garden, which is shared with the partner Infant School. The school has after school and extra-curricular activities range from football, cricket and cross-country, to singing and drama. The school arranges numerous educational visits. Residential visits are organised for children in Year 4 and above, including a trip abroad. The school provides broad and balanced curriculum, catering for the needs of all children. It places high proximity on personal social, health and citizenship educations and developing the whole child.
