Background:

The Armthorpe School is a flourishing mixed 11-18 school on the outskirt of Doncaster. The school proudest achievement is the quality of education, which offer to pupils. The school offers a board and balanced curriculum throughout both Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) and Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11). The school have a dedicated team of well-qualified staff provide a high level of expertise across all subject areas. In Year 9 pupils are carefully counselled in the GCSE options available to them. In school many out-of-school activities for children to join like theatre visits, design and technology club, badminton, soccer, choir, netball, debating club. The school also provide music lessons for each type of instrument such a brass, strings, woodwind, drums, and voice and there is a peripatetic teacher who gives lessons to beginners and to those who can already play. Pupils have the opportunity to take part in number of outdoor camps and trips during the school career. The school aim is to create an environment where every child feels safe.
