Background:

The McAuley Catholic High School is a comprehensive school serving a wide catchment area. Pupils are drawn from Doncaster and more distant environs of Hallam Diocese. Over 80 per cent of the intake is Roman Catholic. The school has a strong academic record and offers students a diverse curriculum including a broad balance of vocational courses. Pupils participate in a wide range of sporting activities and in the school's recent history has a consistent record of sporting success especially in rugby, football and athletics. The school is well represented at the Diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes. Facilities of the school include: two drama studios, two large music classrooms/rehearsal areas, arts ICT area of t30 workstations, a professional standard sound recording studio. The curriculum of the school is wide and varied with 32 A2/AS options available to the sixth form and a wide range of optional subjects to GCSE students. There are a wide range of extra curricular activities. The Specialist Schools and Academies Trust have classified the school as a highly performing school and invited for second specialism.
