Background:
Stockbridge High School is a well-established school situated outside Sheffield in the town of Stockbridge. The school celebrates a wide variety of academic, sporting and other achievements by its students, which are involved and active participants in school life. Students take their experience and skills to others, for example, through music and drama to local schools and senior citizens groups. The following traditional team sports are taught at the school: hockey, cricket, football, rugby and netball, with basketball, volleyball, handball and softball. Individual activities such as gymnastics, movement, athletics, fitness, games skills, table tennis and trampolining make up the remainder of the curriculum. The school aims to enable everyone to leave the school having achieved their potential and having the skills that will enable them to continue to develop into successful members of society.
