Swinton Brookfield Primary School is situated in Swinton to the north of the town of Rotherham. The school was built in 1971, the two separate infant and junior schools amalgamated in 1997. A year later, nursery was opened. Set in attractive grounds, the semi open plan school enjoys playing fields and a garden. A broad and balanced curriculum is offered together with wide range of extra-curricular activities, which includes football, cricket, rounders, orchestra, recorders, brass band and computers. The school's caring ethos is inclusive in all aspects and enjoys moderate successes in achievement and attainment.
